New Inspiration

Well I was introduced to the wonderful time lapse video's by Alex Cherney just 2 days ago.
I was hooked straight away.

It was only 1 day before I was heading out with a friend to have a go at a star time lapse.

I can see it is going to take some time to build up some trial and error experience but my very first attempt has left me wanting much more.

There are 2 different clips here repeated at different frame rates, the music is "Ambient Symphony" by Zero project

Using a Pentax K7, and a Sigma 10-20, my settings for the first clip were approx ISO 3200 and f11, the second clip I dropped the ISO to 1600 and opened the aperture to 5.6.

I think a wider aperture is required and as low an ISO as possible.
The K7 is probably not the High ISO - Low noise camera around atm, but thats my kit :)

Planning next outing for the Comet that is passing close to Earth on Feb 15th 2013.

Brixton St Wetlands - Photo Shoot

Well, getting up at 5am for this excursion was not as pleasant as I'd imagined the day before. With temperatures around 5 Deg Celsius, the spirit was as unwilling as the body. However, my trusty friend and I ventured forth into the unknown to try our luck at the Brixton St Wetlands in Kenwick, Perth WA.

Photo season begins again!

Well with other Saturday morning activities finished for another year, there`s now time again for early Saturday morning photography excursions. ure to start again, stay tuned.....

Visited Jane Brook in Swan View on Saturday 19th November 2011, at 5AM....crazy eh?
Took BJ and met Rich there...
Managed to get a couple of good shots and BJ in the water :)
